The Oceanfront- Sunrise, sunset and in-between. Many couples choose to have the ceremony at an oceanfront area near the rental home or hotel. Check with your rental agent to see if a special use permit might apply. Areas on Hatteras Island and Ocracoke Island do require a permit which can be obtained from the National Park Service. The Elizabethan Garden- offers a natural and beautiful setting. Each season offers a fresh and exciting array of flowering plants, shrubs and trees. The location is on the tranquil shores of Roanoke Sound.
- The Waterfront Gazebo in Downtown Manteo- This is a romantic structure that extends over the waters of Shallow bag Bay with an extraordinary view of the sailing ship-the Elizabeth II- a sixteenth century vessel whose home port is Roanoke Island Festival Park.
- The North Carolina Aquarium- Ceremonies can be conducted either inside or outside by the Roanoke Sound. Receptions can be arranged for up to 250 guests.
- A Chartered Boat- Boats are available at Pirates Cove Marina, located on the Manteo Causeway.
Lighthouses- There are several historic lighthouses stretching from the Village of Corolla to Ocracoke Island- Fees are charged.
